I started Lange Art & Design to assist small businesses with their creative design and visual communication needs. I realized that it is not always easy for them to market their businesses, and that this really is an integral part of growing and being successful. Design plays a big role in communicating with prospective customers.
It is important to get assistance from experienced professionals. By working with Lange Art & Design, you hire just one small business to take care of your brand identity, website design / development, and print / digital design projects, rather than several business to handle each project. At some larger design agencies, a web designer generally takes care of the creative aspect and a web developer takes care of the technical aspect of building new websites.
I can save time and money by taking care of both your website design and development. I want to become a strategic partner with my clients.
My name is Annette Lange and I live in Landing, New Jersey. My love of art and design was apparent at a very early age. I was always drawing and coloring, and making things. My classmates would ask me to draw pictures for them, and my teachers would often ask me to create programs and banners for my school.
I had developed an interest in computers during high school. I had the opportunity to take a few computer courses at Gettysburg College, where I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Fine Art.
After college, I worked as a graphic artist for a local printer and later went on to work at a small advertising agency. Since I was very comfortable working with the computers, my co-workers would come to me with all of their computer questions. I worked with the programmer who wrote our custom software and later became my company’s computer coordinator.
My interest in computers led me to the Chubb Institute, where I obtained a diploma in programming. I officially began my career as a programmer/analyst at a large international corporation, where I worked for 17 years. While there, I worked my way up to lead programmer/analyst. At that point in my career, I was responsible for managing small development teams and handling the project management work for our team projects. I had also obtained a Master Certificate in Project Management from the George Washington University School of Business. I worked in a very fast-paced environment on critical billing systems.
I realized that I really missed doing art and design work, so I decided it was time for another career change. I become a website and graphic designer. That is when I started Lange Art & Design. Now I am able to combine my passions by designing and developing websites, designing brand identities, and working on other graphic design projects.
I enjoy using both the left (technical) and the right (creative) sides of my brain. My hobbies include painting, making jewelry, crafts, and doing yoga.

Responds Quickly and Follows Through
Annette is awesome! If you want to work with a professional that responds to you quickly and follows through with what she says she is going to do, Annette is for you. I have a small retail business and needed a logo. Annette was creative, thorough and willing to listen. She dug in and asked pertinent questions. Annette worked efficiently and went the extra mile. I have ongoing questions about my website and she has not hesitated to share her knowledge. If she does not know the answer, she finds out. I am still consulting with Annette and look forward to continuing to do so in the future. Glitches have been made more manageable with a professional like her on my side. In the fast paced and competitive world in which we live, it is refreshing to work with a genuine person who made something that I was dreaded feel easy. Thank you, Annette!
Goes the Extra Mile
I worked with Annette on the board of the Pastel Society of New Jersey for several years now. Most recently Annette designed our society's new logo, created our new brochure, and built our website. Annette is creative and very skilled and has a good eye for design. Meticulous at her work she maintains the "big picture" and the small details in balance. She is self driven, dedicated and highly motivated, always going the extra mile. Annette is a pleasure to work with and a valuable asset to any team. We were truly lucky to have her on our board.
As an independent business owner, hiring the right person with the right website knowledge to work with me is critical to my business. I couldn’t be more pleased with my decision to work with Annette and have her handle my website creative work. Changing to a self-hosted WordPress website was the right step for my business and Annette worked tirelessly to ensure that the transition and site creation met my needs and expectations. Her work and professionalism exceeded my expectations! I look forward to working with her in the future.
When we wanted to implement a new design for our organization's website, Annette brought the WordPress web design expertise we needed. She was able to gather our requirements and bring up a prototype for us to review almost immediately. She responds quickly to content and technical updates, and always offer suggestions on how to ensure the site's optimal performance on all devices and platforms. Our AWC-NNJ Board and Members have been very happy with Annette's work and we're proud to have the new website as the key portal to our online identity.
